Documentary Wedding Photography

Each wedding is very different, however I hope these images and also those on my blog page give you an idea of my style and approach. Weddings are all about love, emotions and the interactions and relationships between people. My aim is to capture the moments and emotions of your day using relaxed documentary wedding photography. I usually capture the whole day from bridal preparations through to the evening celebrations, however please contact me if you would prefer alterative coverage to this.

I have included some of my favourite images from recent weddings, both colour and black and white below. Whilst a black and white image allows a moment to be seen without the distractions of colour, many couples prefer a mixture of colour and black and white images. The colour scheme is a key element to a wedding day as are all the details, which I ensure I capture.

My priority on your wedding day is to capture your day as it unfolds with contemporary documentary wedding photography. However, with family and friends present, if you should want a few formal images that is very much your choice, and I will ensure these are taken well, but quickly, to ensure you have time to mingle with your guests. There are also a few portrait images below as many couples enjoy the opportunity to spend a few minutes on their own to catch up with each other. This is an ideal time to take a few images of the two of you. However, again, this is very much up to you. We would have a pre wedding chat, usually in person, but it can be done by phone or skype, to discuss your plans for your day.
