About Sarah Wedding Photographer Leicestershire & across the UK
A little about me…
To be a wedding photographer I think you have to combine a passion for people with a love of photography. I love what I do and have been capturing weddings since 2002. Your wedding will be different to all others and that’s what I enjoy, capturing the story of your day for you. I have covered all types of ceremonies, from the smallest to the largest, in locations across the country. I have won a number of awards for my photography, the most recent being from the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers) in the category Wedding Photojournalism. My qualifications include an MA in Photography and ARPS (Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society). As a professional photographer I am fully insured with Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance.
What I Do
I capture weddings in a very relaxed, natural and unobtrusive way, creating a story of your day in images. I love natural images which capture emotions, moments, people and often humour. Your day will be unique and my aim will be to capture what it looked like and just as importantly what it felt like.
My style is a relaxed documentary photographic style capturing your day as it unfolds however if you would like a few more formal group photographs that’s fine, we will meet before your wedding day to discuss your plans for your day.
As well as weddings I also work to briefs creating atmospheric documentary images for clients including the Jockey Club, the British Legion and Royal Ascot across the UK and Ireland.
When I haven’t got a camera in my hand I can be found walking our two chocolate Labradors, Ted and Ollie, at a spin or yoga class or trying to avoid capsizing my small dinghy on Swarkestone Water.
Where I Am
I grew up in the Cotswolds and Home Counties but am presently based in the Midlands in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire, a few minutes from Junction 10 or 11 of the M42. It’s a central location which allows me to work as a wedding photographer in Leicestershire, Derbyshire and across the UK. 2017 included trips to Ireland, Devon and the Cotswolds as well as more locally, including the church across the road.
